Healthy hair is a symbol of your beauty and also a good sign of health. Healthy hair requires vitamins, minerals, water and oxygen Hair health need to be nurtured from the inside by eating the right foods. Hair also needs to be taken care of by using the right shampoos, conditioners and mositurisers
Healthy hair is the key to completing a look. Without healthy hair you will not look put-together. You can take ten easy tips to guarantee healthy, shiny hair.
tip1- Eat a variety of foods. Make sure you eat a balanced diet. Include omega 3 fatty acids, proteins and vitamins. Fish is a good source of Sources of protein and fatty oild and can be very good for the hair
tip2- Drink plenty of water. Drink at least eight glasses of water daily to keep yourself hydrated, which will improve the skin, nails hair and overall health
tip3- Exercise regularly. Exercise increases your circulation, which enables blood flow to the scalp, delivering oxygen to the hair
tip4- Regular Trims
Get regular hair trims to cut off dead ends to maintain a healthy look. I recommand every 6-12 weeks, depending on your hair style
.
tip5- Do not wash hair everyday
Washing your hair everyday can dry out your hair and cause over producion of oil. Try to wash your hair every other day or go as long as possible without washing. The scalp will produce more oil trying to correct dryness due to over washing.
tip6- Use conditioner every time you wash your hair and rinse out with cold water. Hot water will cause your hair to frizz while cold water will seal the cuticles and make your hair shine. Look for hair conditioner without alcohol.
tip7- Use deep conditioner
Once a week use deep conditioner. This also prevents futute breakage and damage. I recommand Neutrogena's Triple Moisture Daily Deep Conditioner. You can also find this at any drug store at around $7.
tip8- Give your hair a break from the heat. Try using styling tools such as blow driers, flat irons, curling irons, and hot rollers sparingly. Whenever possible let your hair air dry either completely or most of the way and only blow dry to finish off the drying process. Try using your flat iron or hot rollers only every second or third day, which will be easier if you don't wash your hair everyday. Just touch up in the morning instead of going through your entire styling routine.
tip9- NEVER brush your hair while it's wet. Use a wide tooth comb found at most hair salons. They are inexpensive and don't cause breakage by pulling on your hair. They last forever and are a great investment in maintaining healthy hair.
tip10- Get a good shampoo/conditioner for your hair type. I have normal to dry hair, but like a good volumizer. Make sure to find one that's right for you. You don't have to use a salon brand for healthy hair, but don't use shampoo with alcohol listed as the 1st or 2nd ingredient. Alcohol will dry your hair out.
Also, Dove and garnier are a great buy for a lot less than salon brands and work just as well (in my opinion).
Be good to your hair. Obviously it got damaged somehow so try to avoid a repeat performance. Avoid too many chemical processes, such as colors and perms, and avoid other hair wreckers such as chlorine, sun and tight elastic bands. Switch to semi-permanent colors, lay off the perms for a while and cover up your hair when in the sun or pool.
